Spring Break And The Living Is Easy

I kicked off my spring break with a 30th birthday She-Bang! A group of close friends and I headed to the city to have dinner at The Stinking Rose.  Peeeee yew!  I am a HUGE garlic lover but honestly, this place was overkill.  We reeked coming out of the restaurant and I think my pours are still eau de garlic.

Check me out in my large Garlic Birthday Hat!  I need to get one of these for my classroom.  Clearly my boyfriend, Mr. Winemaker, is shocked and appalled by the sheer monstrosity-ness of the hat.

Other than birthday partying it up, I have been hanging out at home with you know who...  the ever feisty, sleepy, best kindergarten teacher companion EVER...Ms. Lulu Rose.  Feel free to skip over this part if you are not a cat person.

 Peek a boo...I am squishy.

 Morning glory

I have been tending to my garden this break.  I am a HUGE succulent lover!  Here is one of my most prized beauties.

And now on to school related stuff.  Mother's Day will be here before we know it. This is the ultimate in Mother's Day cuteness!  If you would like to receive this 12 page Mother's Day pack as a freebie, please:

My favorite Mother's Day memory is my first one being a new mom. It's an amazing feeling knowing that you can have so much love for another person. Being a mom is HARD work but is so totally worth it!

My favorite Mom's day memory was getting my mom a necklace last year with angels and so many charms that she loved because it was so thoughtful. That is tied because one year getting her a giftcard to a salon, I won an extra 50$ to add to it! :) SHe Loved that!!!

  3. My favorite Mother's Day Memory was when I was a little girl and my sisters and I, with our father's help, would make a beautiful breakfast for our mother and present it to her in bed. She LOVED it every year!

  4. My favorite Mother's Day memory is from just last year - my kids made me breakfast in bed - toast with nutells, orange juice, scrambled eggs and sausage. they all made me hand made cards too! This was the first year that my husband didn't have to help them with it all - they did it all by themselves! they were 11,9,7 and 4 years old at that time! So sweet!

I am your newest follower - thanks for stopping by my blog! I am also following you on TPT too!

  6. My favorite mother's day memory was with my own mother... I made her a hat for mother's day in school, out of a paper plate decorated with flowers made from toliet paper. It tied under the chin with crepe paper. I was in the second grade and thought it was beautiful. That year Mother's day was on Sunday. My mom wore that hat proudly to church Sunday morning, with toliet paper flowers and streamers flowing down her back and even went up for communion in front of the entire congregration. Not one person laughed... except my father, whom my mother promptly shushed. Today, I often think back and know for sure that my Mom must have loved me a ton to wear that silly hat to church! I have become a follower of your blog and TPT too. I can't wait to see your mother's day packet.

  7. My favorite Mother's Day memory was when I made my mother a carousel out of paper, straws, empty thread spools, etc. and it actually moved (well if you used your hand to spin it)! She still has it in a display hutch with all of her expensive carousels and she always smiles when she sees it which touches my heart. I became a follower of your blog, Pinterest and TpT too!

  9. Favorite Mother's Day memory: Making garden stones with my first graders. Mixing the cement in a big bucket in the driveway of our school with my fellow first grade teacher and joking about eventually having our own private patio from the "leftover" cement we would pour out.
